Leon County Schools

If you are considering purchasing a home, then knowing the school zones in which the property resides can have a huge impact on your decision. Research shows that the price difference between a house in an "A" school zone and an identical home in a "B" school zone can be up to 8%. Read more here.

To make an informed choice, visit the Leon County Schools Information Page to input the address of the home you'd like to buy. The LCS site will give you the schools zoned for that property. Since new schools are opening soon, be sure to call the School Board at (850) 487-7257 to confirm the online information.

Once you've figured out the schools that are associated with your potential purchase, go to the Florida Department of Education's Website to search for the grades of those schools. Once at the DOE search page, check the box next to Leon County. Then, scroll down to choose the report card years you would like to see and click CONTINUE. The following screen will allow you to select the desired schools. Click SUBMIT and you're all set!
